NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

Neighbourhood Watch is one of the biggest and most successful crime prevention initiatives ever established in the UK.  It is based upon a simple idea and central values shared by millions of people across the country.

Everyone knows that the police are here to tackle crime and provide reassurance. It's long been accepted though that the police are far more effective when they have the support and active involvement of the communities they serve.

Neighbourhood Watch schemes offer a proven way for local people to work together, and form partnerships with the Police to create safer and more secure communities through:

Deterring crime and anti-social behaviour.

Providing community safety advice.

Encouraging neighbourliness.

Here in Telford and Wrekin we have over 800 schemes and 14,000 members.
